Older Adults Now Able to Receive Additional Dose of Updated COVID-19 Vaccine

On Wednesday February 28th, 2024, the CDC director endorsed the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommendation for adults ages 65 years and older to receive an additional updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine dose. The recommendation acknowledges the increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19 in older adults, along with the currently available data on vaccine effectiveness.

Shred/Med Disposal Day

JCHD’s Shred/Med Day on April 27th, is a free event for area residents to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications and confidential documents safely. Schedule a time to drop off unwanted medicines and documents from 8:00am-12:00pm. NO liquids, needles, or inhalers.

In addition, all vaccines including Flu, Covid, and HPV will be available in the front building. Curbside service offered by request. Most insurances are accepted.
